Found a very interesting book called
It's Never Too Late
by Patrick Lindsay
to know your worth
Nobody knows us like we do
Allow others to assess your worth.
But only if you respect them and their ability.
Back your own judgement.
Take a dispassionate look at yourself
Don't ignore the down sides.
But don't mark yourself too hard.
Don't underestimate yourself.
or be cowed into discounting yourself
Value yourself.
And others will do the same
To love your work
Sometimes it's inspiring.
Sometimes it's monotonous.
Usually it depends on our attitude.
Look for the positives.
Every job has its own nobility.
Give your work the respect it deserves.
And you'll gain respect in return.
To make plans
Looking ahead takes you out of the daily grind
Planning ahead brings hope
Small plans first,with realistic goals.
Build confidence.
Then make bigger plans with bigger goals.
Always have plans.
To make your own decisions
Take advice.
Seek information.
Draw on others' experience.
Confirm your views.
But make your own choices.
Set your own course.
Be responsible for your own life.
