Wedding day - Morning (Tea Ceremony) 1 Part

12th November 2016

Our my wedding day, i actually woke up really early at around 4.30am just  because i couldn't sleep further as i was too excited for the day .Dad woke up much earlier than me due to jetlag .The morning itself has started off well with a good chat with dad:)

thats me in the morning with all the bouquets made by aunt Brenda.

First bouquet is my bridal bouquet, second one is my throw away bouquet for the single lady, aunt is so detail she made the throw away one so pretty exactly the same as my bouquet.

Huge thank you to Aunt,Aunt has put so much effort into all the flowers and did all i have ever wanted:)

If you are looking for a florist let me know i can ask my aunt-i can guarantee she is 100% times better than any florist in the market

I was quite relax in the morning, not having to rush for makeup or dressing up..Makeup artist Kate came at around 9.30am and did my makeup and hair.TBH,unlike any other brides, i was brave enough not having any pre-trial of hair and makeup with Kate. Purely trusting  her skill based on the photos she did for other brides. Thank Goodness ,the result was super good ! I really like my makeup and hair for the day. Never expected myself to look so beautiful !

2 weeks after our wedding

2 weeks into marriage and we were luckily to have mums from both side to cook and clean the house for us. Especially a huge thanks to my dearest mum, I am glad she stayed on for another 2 weeks after our wedding to help me settling in my new chapter of life.

It has definitely been a huge transition for me:

Ever since the wedding, I moved to my new home in Broadmeadows.I have to move all my stuff which I have accumulated in the past years into the new home. To be honest, it wasn’t easy. Having to pack and unpack everything. Luckily mum is around to help me pack and unpack it..you won’t imagine the amount of things I have! Seriously, I cant believe with my own eyes too. Even up to now, I still have things in the apartmentL.

Apart from that, now I need to travel a further distance to work. First few days of work, I was totally exhausted having to spend 1.40 hour one way to work. Around 3 hours of time spent on traveling has been mentally exhausting. Luckily, my boss allows me to work 10 to 6pm instead of 9 to 5, which help slight for now. But still, around 2 hours on the road each day isn’t easy for me. Hope things will slower gets better.

Nonetheless, the best part of it is I am able to see Tony everyday .Having someone to cuddle during the night, a shoulder to lean on when you are tired or upset is the best! At least I know, I am not alone after all.

After the wedding, everyone been asking so how’s marriage life? Well, it is all too early to tell! All I can tell you now is we are glad God has chosen us to be together for the rest of our life. Nothing beats a husband God has prepared for u!

Well, Mum and Matthew left on Monday night so yesterday was the official day the two of us start our first day as husband and wife duty…I was home at 7pm,and thankfully Tony was home slightly early and guess what my husband cooks dinner !

A little testimony of mine and devotion from Rick Warren :Do less and trust God more

I  prayed this morning before i start working on the spreadsheet which i did not get tie last Friday.(I actually did the same spreadsheet 3 times last week and didn't get it right - Frustrating  part of the work )  My LITTLE PRAYER was answered ! I got it tie and balance with just one try for the day.Oh great.Monday like this seems like a good start for the week

Then during lunch i read the daily devotion from Rick Warren.Just want to share this message that comes so timely for a day like this ..God really do wonders

The title : Do less and Trust God more.

“We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally — not a bad idea since he’s the God who raises the dead!” (2 Corinthians 1:8-9 NIV/MSG)

The last step to building more margin in your life is to do less and trust God more.
Why should you do that? Because God can do more in 20 minutes than you can do in 20 years.
Some of you have had some goals and dreams that you’ve been striving, seeking, working, hustling, hurrying for year after year after year, and you haven’t achieved them yet. Why don’t you just back off a little bit? Relax. Chill out. Trust God. Watch what he can do. He can do it a whole lot faster and a whole lot better than you can do it.
The only benefit of being stretched and being on overload is that it forces you to trust God. It brings you to your knees, and you realize you’re up against the wall, out of steam, out of energy.
One time the Apostle Paul hit burnout. He was in Asia, working and serving. And he was ready to throw in the towel!
He says in 2 Corinthians 1:8-9: “We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally — not a bad idea since he’s the God who raises the dead!” (NIV/MSG)
God can do what you can’t do. Jesus did not say, “If you’re busy, you can move mountains.” He didn’t say, “If you work really hard and get really stressed out, you can move a mountain.” He said that if you have faith, you can move mountains (Matthew 17:20). Faith, not busyness, is what gets the job done.
So what’s your mountain? What’s the problem in your life that needs moving? Stop doing so much! Do less, and trust God more.
Pray this prayer today:
“Father, I’ve lived without margin in my life for so long I can hardly remember what it’s like to not feel fatigue or pressure all the time. I think fatigue is the normal way I’m supposed to live and feel, but it’s not. I’m tired of being rushed and late and exhausted all the time. I’ve got too many irons in the fire, and I need your help to get out of the mess I’ve gotten myself into. Help me to recognize and accept my limitations. Help me to put some space in my schedule. I need breathing room and margin in my life. Jesus Christ, I know I can’t do it all, and I need your wisdom in deciding what matters most and what I should do. I don’t want to waste my life. Please give me the courage to say ‘no’ to the wrong things and ‘yes’ to the right things. Most of all, help me to trust you. Forgive me for thinking and acting as if everything depends on me. It doesn’t. It all depends on you! I want to have greater faith in you and less reliance on myself. I want less stress and more margin in my life. In your name I pray. Amen.”

I believe this message is a good reminder for many of us. So often we are trapped by the things around us and have forgotten that God is the one in control. When he is in control your life will have a smoother ride. Its so true,Rick Warren says God can do more in 20 minutes than what we can do in 20 years.I have so many things on my plate.TBH,i not sure how and what am i going to deal with all of them..please pray for me that i will worry less and trust more in God for all of my worries.

Casual week

Thursday night

Sy and I had a dinner catch up with the newly wed Chloe Madison in the city after work .Was great to see Chloe coping well with her new stage of life. After dinner at Fukuryu,we head to QV and have dessert at San churros. Btw San churros has changed their menu. The new menu looks so much better than the old one. They currently have more options for share patter. We went on for the classic share platter fondue. Pretzel, marshmallows, bananas, strawberries, brownies and of course mini Spanish doughnuts with melted chocolate. Thank God for both of them always making the effort for bonding. Indeed, no matter how busy we are with our lives, some quality time with friends are well needed at times.

Saturday

Currently Saturday is my favourite day of the week. Reason is because I get to see Tony almost the whole day! Saturday used to be the day I spend time with the LSCC church gang ,however ever since I started dating most of my Saturdays are spent with TonyJ  Please forgive me  all the LSCC Angels, please don’t forget me ! I do wanna to hang out with you all as much as I can!

Last Saturday, I went for brunch with dear at st Kilda beach. St Kilda is so near my place but yet this is my first time to the penguin lookout! I kinda of embarrassed how can I miss out this place! Non wonder people always say there is penguin at st Kilda beach but I have never seen one before. Now I know, indeed there is a place where the penguin comes. As the wind was gusting so strong, we didn’t manage to go for walk. Will definitely come back to visit this place.

Well, as usual Tony has work on Saturday night. So I stayed at home and try making my first Chinese hotdog bun. I started baking at 8.30 p.m. By the time I finished it was already almost 1am. It really takes a long time for the dough to proof and rise. Anyway for a first timer, the outcome looks great! Apart from looking a little too dark on the outside, overall im pretty happy with it. Next time I will strive to make them much softer like the ones sell in Bread top.

7 May 2016 Engagement

May 7, 2016

Still can’t believe my dear gave me a surprise proposal.it was more than what I have dreamed of ! I do admit I sort of known around when he will pop the question  but I just didn’t expect it to be on 7th May aha hah .The reason is because he just told me we are joining some friends for boating this weekend and in my narrow mind I only thought/assume he will do what the rest been doing (propose in a restaurant with roses n ring)

Well done to Dear  for putting in so much effort to plan everything. It was totally mind blowing. It was DEFINITELY  the most romantic propose I have ever seen or heard.  You bought the most beautiful ring I wanted, the 11  pink roses (Dear says 11 stands for a lifetime in mandarin), kneeling in an unstable boat n the most special balloon with wordings written Will you Marry Me   I am really blessed to have you to be my soon-to-be husband, the person that I will walk the rest of my life with. Knowing you, I know you have definitely did the extras which you have not done for anyone. Words just can’t explain how blessed I am to have you! Really thank God for it!!

ps:Please pray for us that we can get a venue soon for our wedding day..tentatively 12th November 2016

My Thoughtful soulmate

Just a quick update to keep my blog going...

Below a dish cooked one of the weekends.Tbh,this tastes so good, best salmon i have tasted so far.

Last but not least,a picture of me with the dark red lipstick that suits the Melbourne Autumn weather:)

Happy Easter everyone!

7 months of blessing and more to come.

Time really flies. This month has marked the 7 months Tony and i been together. It seems like we just had our first official date in Docklands! Till today i can still remember the small little detail or what we do in our first few dates..they are just as fresh as new memories from yesterday.

Every date has been a memorable one for both of us.Different from other couples, we hardly go for movies or shopping.Instead, we spent most of our time out exploring garden and parks most weekends. You will be surprised,we never get bored from walking the same place over and over again.

When i was single ,i never understand how can couple see each other everyday and yet have so much to talk about.DOnt they get bored of each other???  Now i completely understand, everyday we just want to see each other so badly:( just cant explain why..i guess this chemistry is called L.O.V.E

We hardly see each other everyday due to work and other commitments. With this we really treasure our limited time whenever we are together.Past 7 months have been the most amazing moment..we get to explore many things together. And most of them are our first time . Things like our time for bringing our partner to meet the parents, first introducing he/she to our circle of friends, first time doing things which we have not done to others...n etc.so many first time!

Time frame of 7 months is neither long nor  short but it is definitely long enough for us to know each other and open up ourselves to each other flaws and habits.Nonetheless,im sure that's not all of us yet, there are still more of characters that needs to be find out. Really  do feel so blessed to have found and met Tony. Thanks for everything you have done for me so far.I know im so fortunate to have you,the efforts and the change you have made indeed makes my heart melts.

I pray our love for each other grows even more each day and we will continue to serve God even more as a couple and be a greater blessing to people around us.

Below are a few of my most recent favorite photos with Dear

Chinese New Year in Malaysia 2016

My 10 days holiday back to Malaysia just ended. This is by far the best Chinese New Year I ever had for a long long time. So many special moments in this trip alone. Obviously the most rewarding things in this trip is Tony making the effort to go back with me.

I feel like a tourist rather than just going home. We have visited so many different places and try different food within the 10 days! (Malacca, Singapore, Klang, Kuala Lumpur and of course Johor Bahru.)  This trip is way more rewarding than I thought, not even a minute was wasted!

 Johor Bahru

First thing we landed in JB is heading to Queen park for late dinner

All time favorite only in johor bahru

The following day,dad bought us to Forest City for a visit. The landscape in forest city is really amazing. The Chinese developer really made something (deserted land)into something magnificient (Five star apartment and hotels)

We also took one day to spend in johor city! The six of us including Matthew were out the whole day in johor town.
Wefie taken after our visit to the chinese museum.

Pork chop for lunch in the BEST PORK CHOP in Town
Matthew wanted ice cream after lunch,so we bought him to Kone for dessert!

More pictures of food we had in Johor with friends and family

Close friends gathering at the Mamak store in Bukit indah

Believe it a not, this is my first time trying soup kambing and mee goreng from mamak store. They really taste soooo good!

However,I was quite disappointed with their roti tissue :(
The roti cant even stand still and they cost RM8
In my memory, the roti tissue i had when i was little was big and tall like a Christmas tree.

Wefie in the car
Thankful for these people who always making an effort to catch with me despite the tight schedule

Segamat(Grandma's house)

The most important dinner with the family(Reunion dinner)

2nd day lunch,we had Yu Seng

Back to Johor for another 2 days before heading off to Kuala Lumpur
Within the 2 days,we are on full schedule again. We spent 1/2 a  day at home as we had some visitors over and the 2nd  day Tony and i went to Singapore for a day trip.

 Seafood in Gelang Patah

Dad bought us to Forest city for another visit.

Childhood friend with their 3 month old baby Ethan

Deborah with the cheerful baby from our church member

Singapore

I believe the day spent in Singapore was the most tiring day for our entire trip.We were kinda off lost in the evening and wasted almost an hour finding our way back to the garden by the bay for the night view.I was so tired and almost gave up walking to see the night view.Luckily Tony persisted, if not we would have missed out taking the 2 beautiful pictures posted below!

Photos of Tony with the meals we took in Sg.
PS: Honey ,they are not the best nasi lemak and wanton noodles but at least i am glad you are still able to try them!

Me with the must try potong ice cream in Singapore

Melaka

Dad drove us up to Kl and on our way,dad purposely stops by Malacca for half a day for us to do some side seeing in the most historic place in Malaysia.

 Kuala Lumpur

A group photo with relatives in klang.Good catch up with the aunties and uncles and all my second cousins. The last time i saw them they were all babies,or unborn ,and now the are all grown up teenagers which i cant even recognize

Rain was pouring during our visit to petronas twin tower.was ashamed we couldn't take good picture with the tower:( Will definitely be back for another visit
