Korean BBQ

Korea BBQ in Melbourne will usually cost at least $30 to $40 per person. It is so expensive that i rarely eat Korea bbq.I was honoured to be invited by Vivi to her house for Korea bbq last weekend. Trust me,BBQ at home its like 10 times better than having it at a packed and noisy restaurant .Not only It is value for money ,we also have the luxury of taking our own sweet time bbq-ing the whole afternoon without worrying getting chase by restaurant .

This is vivi .Setting up the dining table at the deck

We have a wide range of  side dishes to choose from.(Kimchi, marinated carrot to seaweed) the usual side dishes you can find at the restaurant were all on our table.

Let me bring you through the preparation process of our Korea BBQ.

Mandy busy preparing all the ingredients for BBQ.Can you see how much of  chopping, cutting, and slicing involved to prepare all these??
Seriously no joke. Now i understand why and how Korean housewives can spend the whole day in the kitchen. If im going to prepare all the side sides for every meal i dont think i can survive! LoL

Alcohol drinks that compliment well with bbq

Im drooling just looking at this picture.
Without any seasoning , the meat n fat will just melt in your mouth.
I'm willing to forgone my diet plan n just die for this!
Honestly,i know i will definitely regret the next day after eating it ,knowing how much exercise i need to do to just to burn off all the fat. but who cares, happiness comes first.

This is really the highlight of the day.Sesame leave wrapped with pork belly, kimchi,Korean chili paste ,rice and cucumber. The sesame leaf tastes so much better than the normal iceberg lettuce. If you haven't tried it before, you shd really try it.It can be purchased the any korean grocery store.

PS:Feel like having KOREAN BBQ again next week(Hint hint Mandy..lol)
