Family Reunion in Melbourne

Aunty Wei is down in Melbourne visiting us again. Im always looking forward for her visits because whenever she n uncle come they will definitely cook us sumptuous meals everyday.

So on Sat,Aunt Brenda and her family came over our place for lunch.Brenda made us a big lunch and i was in charged of the dessert which that is what im good at. Basically we were just spending the whole afternoon catching up at home since is so cold outside.

My kiwi and strawberries tart

At night we went for a lebanese dinner at lygon st cuz Ness is working there pt.On Saturday night therestaurant usually have belly dance as part of their entertainment. It was a good experience as it was my first time watching belly dance!

As usual,Brenda always like to order plenty of dishes which can feed double the amount of people dining. As a result,we always have leftovers, which is kind of wasted but luckily this restaurant allows us to pack the food home.

Brenda's new added family-Morby
he is serious black in colour, can you figure whre Morby's eyes are?

To be Happy is the life i want

Lately i feel like im more relax and happy each day.In the past,i was worried and burdened by the fact that ielts is stopping me from staying on. As many of you will know how much i really wanted to stay on here. Now,i starting to see a new light in my life,be it here or back home, most importantly is i should lead a happy life..Hopefully ,i will learn to discover the new things in Malaysia which im have not experienced it b4.I truly believe God has a great plan .if this is his plan for me,i shall honor and  happily accept it.

The fact of me going back really makes my parents and grandparents happy. They have longed waited for my return which probably is something i should be glad too. After all these years,i have spent so little time with them.Hopefully this time round i could spend some solid time with my family especially with my little brother Mathew before i start planning for my next step. Staying at home is really not my thing,i'm  just so used to being far far away from them n enjoy the freedom..

Not really sure whats my plan when i go back.Am i able to work in malaysia?am i able to cope with the work life and stress.I really doubt it as i have never work in Malaysia before. It will be a huge change for me all over again..i seriously dont know much about the working lifestyle back home, all i heard from friends who are in the same  field as me is their complaints of  long hours of work and the overwhelming amount stress which make me think if i still want to work in the accounting line.To be honest im really don't want to climb the corporate ladder and be a successful woman. All i want is just a simple life that is sufficient to keep me going and lead a comfortable life without much stress .

Anyway, please continue to keep me in prayer if you are reading this! I really hope one day i will still land my feet in Aus..

Sydney Trip

Everyone in my family is away for holiday, and i just couldn't resist myself so i bought a ticket for a short getaway  in Sydney( 4 days 4 nights )really not much for sightseeing in Sydney for me, as this is my 3rd trip here already.i would say more of a relaxing and makan trip.Basically, i ate non stop from day to night, the moment i open my eyes my friend will ask me so ,'what do you feel like eating today?

For me Sydney serve the best Japanese food.Every time during my visits,we always get to eat very nice Japanese food. Without fail, this time round,Michelle bought me to this very authentic Japanese restaurant somewhere away from the town.Is called sushi Tengoku.Only the locals will where to go for the best..ahhaha.so im very lucky! We really order a lot of food on this very first night of mine in Sydney.Below are just a few dishes i uploaded,in fact there were few more dishes..i really couldn't breath after the meal..food was up to my throat already.Mission number 1 accomplished on the first day!

the biggest egg rolls ever! the actual size is 2.5 bigger than the normal ones we usually see in any shops

the scallop sushi are massive too, they are around 7cm long!

Something i learned this time around is taking the public transport  from suburbs to city!because im staying with a friend who is based here so each day we have to travel by bus or train to the city. The train system here is much more complicated,i would say is 3 or 4 times more confusing compared to Melbourne. Most of the stop names are hard to remember and their names are difficult to pronounce too.The transportation cost here is way to expensive ! In Melbourne i would complaint the rising cost of travelling.but here is even worst. They count the cost by trip,so i  couldn't stop in any place i wan to go.

More foodsss

Finally, im back to Ding Tai Fong for their Xia Long Pau
i reckon they still serve the best Xia Long pau in town!

A sefie of ourselves at the FISH MARKET

Freshly bought from the fish Market.

after fish market we head back to town for this dessert from Black flower. Is one of Michell's favourite dessert stores.

Since this is not my first time here,i have no rush or have any specific place to visit. Each day i just sleep till i wake up naturally.by the time we are out of the house is already 12 noon.lol. it just feels like im at home, during the night time,we sometimes eat at home,do some cooking and watch tv.Went to darling habour yesterday, that place has changed quite a bit since i last came.Since is winter now, they have some winter events going on here. The most attracting place is the outdoor ice skating! is so nice to skate when the the sun is out, but we didn't go down for a skate as it was too expensive.$40 of an adult, which both of us dont think it worth that much.

this is the ice skating ring i mentioned before

Darling Harbour with the Michell

One of the mornings,we managed to get up early and go for brunch! my favouriteeee .Because i seen it on instangram where one of my friends who visited Sydney few months ago highly recommend this cafe,so i decided to try it out myself! To be honest,i dont really think it is that AWESOME.but definitely i believe it is a few dollars cheaper than the cafes in Melbourne.

this cafe is called MAD SPUD
So this is their signature dish i think is known as spud stack..$16
not bad for the price

 our 2nd dish,egg bruschetta.i think this is only $14

The suburbs 'Surrey Hills' where we had our brunch.According to Michelle this place is a good spot for brunch and dinner as most good restaurants are surrounded at this suburb.

ok,need to get change and get ready for my last day in Sydney! my flight is tonight 8.30pm,so i still have plenty of time to walk around:)

Just finished reading this book called little bamboo. This is  a story about how a family escaped from Vietnam during the war time back in 1970s and their  journey migrating to Australia and settled down there.

So happened last week i missed the bus to go work in the morning, hence i dropped by a Vietnamese bakery store to buy breakfast since i have to wait for another minutes for the next bus.The shop owner asked me where i am from.then she told me she was camped in Malaysia  for few months while waiting for the Aus's gov to take them in.It totally relates to the book i was reading because Malaysia was the main station/refugees campsite  for the Vietnamese. Many of them stayed in Malaysia for months before granting permits to other countries.

After reading ,it  ignites me to treasure my family more than ever.At least, we dont have to go through the suffers and hardships of escaping to other countries.Because of the war, the writer's family were separated and scattered in all parts of the world, some in Aus,Canada and the USA.Nonetheless, they were considered the lucky ones as none of her family members died during the escaped.

Went to another rave party on Saturday night with my colleagues and some friends from church.was kinda of disappointed with Armin! supposedly this should be the best rave events ever!but but it all ended up to be just an average or below average one.Music wasn't great, more to say the theme was called 'INTENSE',it wasn't  intense at all.

This is the best part of the night! but it didn't last long

Oh yeah,is public holiday on Monday-QUEEN BIRTHDAY!
caught up with Su sian in the city n went to meatball and wine for lunch as the restaurant i was planning to go was closed due to public holiday. We didn't really do much, mainly just walked around the city.

 my favorite dish -Pork sliders
This time around we picked the white creamy sauce instead of the usual tomato red paste

Spotted a graffiti artist spraying his art work on the wall
this is how they looked like..stylish outfits with colorful New balance/Adidas shoes

PS:
Not sure anyone of you're aware that restaurants charge an additional 15% of the total bills because is a public holiday.I guess next time i would just stay at home during public holiday to avoid all the extra charges:(....typical accountant mindset=rational ...lol

Weekend with the Sims

I spend the weekend at Mummy Step's house.Indeed, staying with Step this time around has helped me to gain a new perspective  of how a new family works.Having a baby will mean,no more long hours of undisturbed sleep,  waking up late in the morning,or any form of laziness in life.lol.

Seriously, im really still at my so call 'playful' stage.I enjoy going out with friends, having drinks, shopping, sleeping in during the weekends, taking my own sweet time to get ready, having my house neat and clean most of the time n etc...Nonetheless,i have to say baby does will bring abundance of joy to our home, with baby or kids around, home will not be quiet anymore as they will fill the house welcoming laughter and annoying cry which is unstoppable at times...

Well, we dint do much on Saturday.Had yum cha in Syndal and then head off to Glenny because Stepy needed to get some groceries for the coming week.As Sean and Step doing their shopping in the Chinese grocery store,Isabelle and i had a walk around Glen.

Issy is walking fast these days:)
She looks exactly like Sean ! Little Sean in a girl version

On our way to Glen Centro
