Amongst all the malaysia kueh, my favourite is definitely the ang ku kueh! The reason is because it has a chewy texture taste like chewy gum .hahhah..Ang ku kueh translates directly from Hokkien means the red tortoise cake. Managed to get the recipe from one of my favourite food blog where the blogger wrote a very detailed step by step instruction accompany with youtube video which is make it so much easy for me to follow through.After reading through the blog i came to know that in the older days,Ang ku kueh is used to give as a gift to celebrate weddings,birthdays or newborn's full moon.
This is my 2nd attempt of making..Never had i imagine that i actually have that patience and passion to make ang ku kueh.I suppose if i am back in Malaysia i wont be bother to spend so much time making it as back home these kueh can be easily purchase from the local hawker store at a really cheap price.Although they dint look good in appearance,but trust me the taste actually taste quite good!
