Saturday in the city

Here we are at Princess Theater for the show The King And I.The day started off chaotic as Mandy and i reached the theater just in time 2.00pm sharp for the show, while Anna  was running late for like 15 minutes so she missed out the first 15m of the show.

The show was incredible. The costumes and settings were so colorful with pops of yellow and gold.As for the singing ,it was good as well, but if you compared with Wicked probably it comes second. Most of the singer are Asian or mixed Asian because this story is based in the Siam(Thailand) palace. The cutest part was to see all the little kids dancing and running around you be surprised some of them were as young as 3 year old!

This is the theater,we were sitting at the back of the most ground level.

Pic taken during the 15m inter-break

We finished the show at around 4.45pm and we walked all the way from Parliment to finders to meet up  with Krystle for early dinner.Krystle is LSCC newbie from Malaysia. Finally we got the chance to ask her out and have some fellowship together:)

With me around pics will be taken everywhere we go..lol.

I have been upbanspooning the entire week to find out where to go for dinner for this catch up.We wanted something more exotic than our usual comfort food(Asian cuisine) so i found out about this pretty new German restaurant at Southgate Ave and decided let this place be the honor

Please forgive me for my poor photographer skills

All sorts of mustard to go with our meal

This place is famous for their drinks.None of our are really drinker so we decided to go for their beer tasting paddle. This paddle comes with a really good deal.4 for $10 only!I will definitely be back for their drinks.all of them taste really good.Usually im not really keen on beer but surprisingly these are good!

The food for the day:)
Something special for me was the Spatzle(the salad on the right)its my first time trying it!I even goggled what it is Spatzle.

here comes the explanation from internet:

Spatzle:Is it a soft egg noodle made with flour, water and salt.A traditional German dumpling boiled or broth then pan fried with butter.

Dinner wasn't enough for us,so we head to Cacao green for yogurt ice cream. We got all 4 flavours(Black sesame, chocolate, original and Green tea)

That's the end of my Saturday

Please dont judge me based on what i wrote

Just some random thoughts here
its interesting to know who are your real friend in times of need
Friends. What is the definition of friends?

All your friends can spend the happy moment with you but how many of them actually care for you when you go through sufferings/hardships?

Lately I got a call from someone, whom I have never expected. xx knows that I might be leaving melb and even ask if I have time to catch up. It really touches my heart. yeah, I might have helped xx before but I never expected any returns. We are not to say very close but yet, a call from xx just made my day! Never knew there is this part of xx .

After this incident, it sort of stirs my mind, keeps me thinking. People that I see week in week out who so call friends, can’t be bother asking about how your situations or how are you lately. Is sending a regards via text, call so hard? I know everyone is busy with their own lives, but im sure sending a text doesn't even need 1 minute. Most important is the thoughts that counts. If you have at least cared for that person sparing few minutes is nothing at all.

Hmm..taking the first step to even ask or tell is it so hard? I'm always the first one break the ice..cant (anonymous) just speak up and take the first step?

I know be it friendship/relationship it all needs time to build. But it also requires effort and thoughts from both parties. This time round I decided to stay cool and wanna to wait for the counterparty to take the first step. If it doesn't work, I guess this friendship/relationship just don’t deserve any value.

Mamasita

As many of you know,i love food.that why i love cooking, baking and trying out new restaurant whenever i have the chance. Mamasita would sound familiar to those who live in Melbourne.Heard of this place ample of  times but yet had the opportunity to visit because they are always packed. As you know im a person who doesn't like to queue for food even thou i love food so much
\
This time round is because Jia yu was queuing up for me cuz she was early in the city.Thank goodness i didn't have to wait for long to get a seat.Probably i have put  high expectation for them due to all the good reviews. The interior of the restaurant wasn't really towards my liking,we had to sit along the bar table side by side on the tall stool is just not as comfortable as cushioned chair.

The two of us ooh and ahh over the menu wondering what was it exactly stated on the menu. All the dishes name look  new to us.At the end we just looked up the most useful app URBANSPOON for the dishes we wanted. One thing i have to mention was the service of the restaurant .Service was really good, staffs were friendly and helpful and food served pretty fast without us waiting for long too.

The corn cob was super yum, usually i dont like to eat corn but i have to admit the taste was  beyond description.

The pork belly was my favorite, incredibly tender, the meat and fat  just melted in the mouth.  The puree had a special taste as well and blends so well with the meat and all the herbs.

some rice to fill us up a bit

Dont be deceived by this pic,the portion of this is very tiny.Probably 4cm long per piece.

Would love to come back again if i have the extra money but i guess it will be a very long time i will be back for the 2nd time as it it a bit too pricey. We ordered 3 tiny dishes and it costs us $60.After the dinner ,i was still hungry and we end up going to Max Brenner for dessert fill up our hungry stomach.
